Monetarium Auction Features Rare NGC-certified Coins

NGC-certified coins from China, Malaysia, Singapore and other countries in the September auction.

Monetarium (Singapore) Private Limited, one of Asia's leading rare coin and banknote specialists, proudly presents its Auction 31, featuring rare coins graded by Numismatic Guaranty Company™ (NGC®) and banknotes graded by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®). The auction is being held in four daily sessions, August 4-7, 2022.

The coin with the highest estimate in this sale is a Malaysia 1976 Malayan Tapir Gold 500 Ringgits graded NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo (Day 3, lot 3432). Showing the endangered mammal native to Southeast Asia, this coin has an estimate of SGD32,000 to SGD38,000 (about $22,000 to $27,000).

Other NGC-certified highlights in the sale include:

  • a China 1908 Chihli Silver Dollar graded NGC MS 63 (Day 4, Lot 4024) with an estimate of SGD25,000 to SGD30,000 (about $17,000 to $21,000)
  • a China 1919 Silver Dollar graded NGC MS 62 (Day 4, lot 4076) with an estimate of SGD20,000 to SGD30,000 (about $14,000 to $21,000)
  • a China 1911 Silver Dollar graded NGC MS 63 (Day 4, lot 4020) with an estimate of SGD20,000 to SGD25,000 (about $14,000 to $18,000)
  • a Straits Settlements 1876H 5 Cents graded NGC MS 62 (Day 3, lot 3516) with an estimate of SGD20,000 to SGD25,000 (about $14,000 to $18,000)
  • a China (1909-1911) Hupeh Silver Dollar graded NGC MS 63 (Day 4, lot 4030) with an estimate of SGD15,000 to SGD20,000 (about $10,700 to $14,000)
  • a China (1856) Shanghai Tael graded NGC AU Details (Day 4, lot 4061) with an estimate of SGD15,000 to SGD20,000 (about $10,700 to $14,000)
  • a Singapore 1969 Founding of Singapore Gold $150 graded NGC PF 69 Ultra Cameo (Day 3, lot 3431) with an estimate of SGD12,000 to SGD15,000 (about $8,500 to $10,700)
  • a Straits Settlements 1920 Silver 5 Cents graded NGC MS 64 (Day 3, lot 3482) with an estimate of SGD12,000 to SGD15,000 (about $8,500 to $10,700)
  • a British North Borneo 1907H Cent graded NGC AU 53 BN (Day 2, lot 2034) with an estimate of SGD800 to SGD1,000 (about $570 to $710)
  • a China 1904 Kiangnan Silver Dollars - Dots graded NGC AU Details (Day 1, lot 1080) with an estimate of SGD600 to SGD800 (about $425 to $570)
