The 3 Geeks Takes on CGC in “Slab Madness!!”

Rich Koslowski has written an illustrated “Slab Madness,” bringing back The 3 Geeks for new adventures.

In “Slab Madness,” Allen goes a wee bit overboard with his graded comics. He builds a dome out of his CGC slabbed comics and in the process, achieves slab enlightenment. The book promises to reveal what’s really going on behind the scenes at CGC and expose its deepest, darkest, and most guarded secrets. CGC Vice President Paul Litch is featured as is CGC Alumni Steve Borock. Paul comments, “It’s surreal to see myself in a comic book that I haven’t drawn. To think that Rich envisions me as a character worthy of hanging with the 3 Geeks is humbling indeed.”

When asked how this came about, Rich explained: “Mark Nathan of the Baltimore Comic-Con made me an offer that I just could not refuse. To debut an exclusive 3 Geeks comic at his show and to bring The 3 Geeks back was great.”

Rich adds, “having the chance to work with the guys over at CGC – whom I consider good friends – and really have fun with the whole ‘slabbing phenomenon’ – it’s an idea tailor-made for The 3 Geeks. I just couldn’t say no!”

The first issue of the 3-issue mini-series debuted at the 9th Annual 2008 Baltimore Comic-Con and the next two will be ready for 2009 shipping. The mini-series is currently being solicited in Previews. Look for them in the November, December & January catalogues!
