PMG Registry Featured Set: East Caribbean States

BanknoteNews just shared the news of an upcoming release of a colorful, new East Caribbean States note. This 50 Dollar - 50th Anniversary of Independence note is a valuable addition to the East Caribbean States PMG Registry sets. As such, we present a comprehensive PMG collection, an East Caribbean Central Bank Set, by Alan Collection Malaysia, found here.

Initiated in 2018, this set has been carefully planned and is periodically updated, even this month. Alan has climbed his way to the #1 spot, where he currently leads 13 other sets. With 47 notes required to fill this set, 100% completion is a challenge for the most determined of collectors, and Alan’s set sits at 76% completion thus far.

The theme of the East Caribbean States currency is a unique and attractive one. It features a different letter-serial number combination for each geographic area, such as A for Antigua, D for Dominica, G for Grenada, etc. This style of collecting is addictive; it is second nature to desire to collect all of the letters!

Alan’s set is obviously quite impressive, but we also tip our hats to the second place set by Brufe, found here. Brufe has an impressive 93% rate of completion and continues to make updates. Lacking only three notes, including the new issue that is not yet released, Brufe has a strong chance to pass Alan for the prized first-place position for 2024.
