Take a Trip Around the World Via an Upcoming Heritage Auctions Sale

Posted on 2/20/2024

The World Paper Money Signature Auction in March includes more than 500 PMG-certified banknotes from around the world.

Get ready for a trip around the world as more than 500 rare and collectible world banknotes certified by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) are being offered in an upcoming Heritage Auctions sale. Bidding is already underway for the World Paper Money Signature Auction on March 7-8, 2024.

Among the highlights of this auction is a Saudi Arabia, Monetary Agency ND (1961) / AH1379 50 Riyals graded PMG 64 Choice Uncirculated EPQ (lot 24476). More than two weeks before the auction, bidding had already raced past the estimate of at least $5,000. This is a high-grade example of an early Saudi Arabian note, one that is a key denomination for collectors. While PMG has certified more than 200 examples of this particular catalog number, only three boast a higher grade.
