Posted on 2/22/2024

The first appearance of Spider-Man is one of several Silver Age grails available in ComicLink's Winter Featured Auction on February 27.

Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is swinging into ComicLink’s Winter Featured Auction on February 27, 2024, with multiple examples of the comic featuring his first appearance that are graded by Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®).

In the spotlight is the Amazing Fantasy #15 graded CGC 8.0. The book features the first appearance of Marvel Comics’ Spider-Man by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in 1962. After the character’s immediate success in Amazing Fantasy #15, Marvel rushed Spider-Man into his own monthly series, and he has become one of the most recognizable superheroes of all time. There are more than 3,800 graded examples of this comic in the CGC Census, but only 25 in the Universal 8.0 grade and just 39 recorded in higher Universal grades.

CGC 6.5 copy and a CGC 3.5 copy are also available in this auction.
