The 1990 Silver Cover GEM MINT Book is Worth About $900

SANTA CLARA, CALIF. (April 22, 2004) — Colossus Comics, Inc. (www.colossuscomics.com), which specializes in sales and subscriptions of high CGC-grade moderns, is making its convention debut at WonderCon with a tantalizing offer: sign up for their monthly email newsletter and you may be the one to win a CGC 10.0 copy of Spider-Man #1. The 1990 Silver Cover book with art by Todd McFarlane is identical to one Colossus Comics sold on ebay for $885 earlier this week.

Colossus Comics, which will be at Dealers’ Table #S20 at WonderCon, will sell at its table CGC-graded books and subscriptions to its monthly CGC 9.8 service for new comics. Colossus will give out raffle tickets all three days of the show (April 29 through May 2), then conduct the random drawing will take place at 4:30 on Sunday, May 2. The winner, if not present, will receive the 10.0 Spider-Man #1 by mail.

“In our first year of business, we’ve had enthusiastic customer response to our unique CGC 9.8 subscription service and our ebay sales,” said Colossus Comics Owner Steve Mortensen. “We’re excited about going to WonderCon and meeting customers in the convention environment.
