NGC attends First Strike Ceremony for Sino-German Medal

Posted on 7/10/2017

The medals celebrate decades of friendship between China and Germany.

Numismatic Guaranty Corporation Director of European Operations Richard Stein and NGC Europe Marketing Coordinator Patricia Misani were honored to be part of the First Strike Ceremony for the 2017 Sino-German Friendship Medals held at the Berlin Mint (Staatliche Münze Berlin) on June 30.

The medals celebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Federal Republic of Germany and the People’s Republic of China. They feature a German bear with two pandas, which is timely because Zoo Berlin just received two pandas on loan from China.

The dignitaries in attendance included ambassadors from China and Germany, as well as the Berlin Mint director.
