PMG-graded Notes Highlight the Heritage FUN Currency Auctions

A Zanzibar note and a US gold certificate shared the spotlight at the Orlando auction.

A Zanzibar 1928 10 Rupees note certified by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) commanded $87,000 and led the way at the Heritage Auctions World Currency Signature Auction, held January 10, 2019, at the FUN Show in Orlando, Florida.

This note is part of selections from the Minot Collection which included 192 notes mostly from Africa, the vast majority of which were certified by PMG.

A separate auction for US currency was also held in conjunction with the FUN Show.

The top US note was an 1905 $20 Gold Certificate, graded PMG 66 Gem Uncirculated EPQ. It realized a price of $75,000.
