PMG Registry News

This month’s featured set includes a collection of Zimbabwe notes nearing completion.

Every month, we will feature a new PMG Registry set in our monthly news. The set we feature may be created by a new member who has just started to build his collection with care and detail or by a veteran collector who has invested time and effort in presenting his notes. Have you added interesting or personal comments to your set descriptions and for each of your notes? Have you taken time to upload quality photos to complement your PMG notes? If so, you may be chosen for next month’s feature!

This month, we feature a set by Revenant, who has a collection of Zimbabwe: 2007-2008 Issue, Third Dollar, Million Dollar Notes, P77-P82. Check out his set found here: Pittman Family ZWR, 3rd Dollar, Million Dollar Banknotes. This collector began building his set in 2016. At 83% completion, he is slowly building his Zimbabwe collection with the most recent addition in June of this year. Notably, he pays careful attention to images and descriptions. Revenant has taken the time to offer a thoughtful set description and interesting facts about each and every note in his set. This set allows viewers a true taste of the historical, cultural and economic influences behind these colorful notes.

Would you like your set to be chosen for a future feature article? 100% completion in a set type is not always doable. Our team will feature sets with thoughtful comments and images for all their notes. Perhaps we will choose someone whose set has a personal story behind it or some interesting historical facts. We are looking for sets where someone has taken the time to make the set unique and the set is a reflection of his/her personal collecting style. It may be your set! Stay tuned.

The 2019 PMG Registry Awards deadline of December 6, 2019 is fast-approaching, but there is still time to create new set types, upgrade notes in your existing sets and make other updates. Please keep a few key dates in mind. If you wish to have your sets considered for any 2019 award, your sets must have been marked as visible, not “obscured,” by July 1, 2019. There is a deadline date of 10 am EST on December 6, 2019 for 2019 PMG Registry Awards consideration. Winners will be announced on January 10, 2020. If you haven’t done so already, create your PMG Registry sets today!
