Auction in Poland Features NGC-certified Coins

An interesting lineup of mostly European and US coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation® (NGC®) will be up for bids in the Christmas Auction presented December 16 by Poland’s largest auction house, Antykwariat Numizmatyczny of Warsaw.

Among the rarities offered is a France 1975 Piefort Gold 20 Centimes graded NGC PF 67 Ultra Cameo that has a starting price of 5,000 Polish Zlotys (about $1,300 USD).

The auction includes two other similar coins, a France 1975 Piefort Gold 10 Centimes graded NGC PF 68 Ultra Cameo, with a starting price of 2,500 Zlotys (about $650 USD), and a France 1975 Piefort Gold 5 Centimes graded NGC PF 69 Ultra Cameo, with a starting price of 1,300 Zlotys (about $340 USD).

Other particularly beautiful and interesting NGC-certified coins offered in the Christmas auction include:

• Four US Gold Dollars from the mid-19^th Century. Three of them have a starting price of 1,000 Zlotys (about $260 USD): an 1851 graded NGC AU 58; an 1853 graded NGC AU 58; and an 1856 Slanted 5 graded NGC AU 58. The fourth is an 1855 graded NGC AU 50, starting price 900 Zlotys (about $230 USD).
• A Switzerland 1939 Gold 100 Francs graded NGC MS 65 struck to mark the Lucerne Shooting Festival that year and with a starting price of 3,000 Zlotys (about $780 USD).
• A China Year 9 (1920) Silver $1, L&M-77, graded NGC MS 62 with a starting price of 1,500 Zlotys (about $390 USD).
• A Denmark 1873 Christian IX 20 Crowns graded NGC MS 63 with a starting price of 1,400 Zlotys (about $360 USD).
• A Germany 1905 20 Marks graded NGC MS 61 with a starting price of 1,200 Zlotys (about $310 USD).
• A Denmark 1865 Leopold I 20 Francs graded NGC MS 61 with a starting price of 1,100 Zlotys (about $290 USD).
• A Belgium 1875 20 Francs graded NGC MS 66 with a starting price of 1,100 Zlotys (about $290 USD).
