NGC-certified Coins and PMG-certified Banknotes Highlight Sale in Malaysia

An NGC-certified coin and a pair of PMG-certified notes have the highest estimates in the October auction.

An extensive selection of world coins and banknotes graded by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation® (NGC®) and Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) are being offered in an upcoming Trigometric auction in Malaysia from October 17-18, 2020. Trigometric is an Official Submission Center of NGC and PMG. Online bidding is now open.

A rare NGC-certified Malaya & British Borneo 1961 50 Cent Without Security Edge graded NGC MS 65 being offered in the October 17 session has an estimate of RM30,000 to RM35,000 (about $7,220 to $8,430 USD). The obverse features Queen Elizabeth II, who has been ruler of the United Kingdom since 1952. In 1961, the United Kingdom drafted an agreement that unified British Colonies North Borneo, Sarawak and Singapore with the existing states of the Federation of Malaya to create Malaysia.

Other NGC-certified highlights include:

An exquisite pair of Malaysian banknotes certified by PMG is expected to excel in the October 17 session, with an estimate of RM80,000 to RM100,000 (about $19,260 to $24,100 USD). One of the Malaysia ND (1976-1981) Bank Negara 1,000 Ringgits is graded PMG 64 Choice Uncirculated, and the other is graded PMG 65 Gem Uncirculated EPQ. This pair of notes have consecutive serial numbers.
