NGC-certified US and World Coins Featured in January Künker Auction

World coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation® (NGC®) highlight a January Künker Münzauktionen und Goldhandel auction in Germany. Online bidding for Auction #346 is now open, with the auction concluding January 28, 2021.
Among the most anticipated coins in the sale is a Germany 1711 10 Ducat graded NGC MS 61+ (photo cert). This extremely rare coin features Frederick Augustus I (also known as August II the Strong), who was the Elector of Saxony from 1694 until his death in 1733. In addition to being an Elector, he was also known for his great physical strength (breaking horseshoes with his bare hands) as well as being a patron of the arts and architecture. The coin has an estimated sales price of € 150,000 (about $184,000 USD).
Another highlight of the sale is a Poland 1629 Gold Sigismund III graded NGC MS 62+ (photo cert). This rare coin features the crown of Sigismund III, who was the King of Poland from 1587-1632. Sigismund successfully brought together Poland and Sweden under one Catholic kingdom until he was overthrown by his uncle, Charles IX. It has an estimated sale price of € 75,000 (about $92,000 USD).

- a Germany 1598 8 Dukaten graded NGC AU 55, with an estimate of € 25,000 (about $30,700 USD)
- a Germany 1690 2 Dukaten graded NGC MS 62, with an estimate of € 25,000 (about $30,700 USD)
- a Germany (1745-65) 3 Dukaten graded NGC MS 61, with an estimate of € 20,000 (about $24,500 USD)
- a Switzerland 1798 4 Dukaten graded NGC MS 61, with an estimate of € 20,000 (about $24,500 USD)
- an Argentina 1842 R 8 Escudos graded NGC XF Details, with an estimate of € 20,000 (about $24,500 USD)
- a US 1861 S Paquet Gold $20 graded NGC VF 35, with an estimate of € 20,000 (about $24,500 USD)
- a Denmark 1564 Dukatenklippe graded NGC MS 61, with an estimate of € 17,500 (about $21,500 USD)
- a Spain 1822M SR Gold 320 Reales graded NGC MS 63, with an estimate of € 17,500 (about $21,500 USD)
