NGC Special Labels for the 2021 George H.W. Bush Coin and Chronicles Set

The George H. W. Bush Coin and Chronicles Set will go on sale September 17, 2021. Limited to just 35,000 sets, it includes a 2020-S Reverse Proof George H.W. Bush Presidential Dollar, a 2021 George H.W. Bush Silver Presidential Medal, a Barbara Bush First Spouse Bronze Medal, a postage stamp issued in the president’s honor and a 20-page historical booklet detailing his life and work.

Numismatic Guaranty Corporation™ (NGC®) is offering the “Coin and Chronicles Set" designation for the dollar and medals in this set, for no additional fee. Sets received by NGC within the first 30 days of release are also eligible for NGC’s popular Early Releases and First Releases designations. Learn more about Early Releases and First Releases here. Submission Instructions
- Submit coins and medals under the Modern grading tier or higher.
- All coins and medals submitted must be graded.
- The set must be received in the sealed US Mint shipping box to receive the Coin and Chronicles Set designation.
- If you would like Mint packaging returned, select “Return Mint Packaging” on the NGC Submission Form. The fee is $5, plus the cost of shipping.
- The stamp in the set will not be graded. Please select the “Return Mint Packaging” option to have the stamp returned.
The following designations are available for the coins and medals in this set:

Bulk submissions
NGC’s First Day of Issue designation and labels are available for select bulk submissions only. To qualify for First Day of Issue, coins must be purchased within one day of the first day that a mint makes a new coin issue available for sale and must be received by NGC or an NGC-approved depository within one week of the release date. NGC will require that the submitter provide adequate evidence (including purchase receipts) to demonstrate the date when the coins were purchased.
