Historic PMG-certified Kingdom of Persia Banknote Highlights October Sale

Over 500 fascinating banknotes certified by PMG are offered in the Heritage Auctions sale.

An exciting array of rare and intriguing banknotes certified by Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®) are featured in the upcoming Paper Money Fair—Netherlands World Banknote Signature sale, presented by Heritage Auctions. Online bidding is currently available and will continue until October 23, 2021.

The top offering (lot 28276) in the sale is a colorful Kingdom of Persia, Imperial Bank 1890-1923 25 Tomans graded PMG 25 Very Fine. The only issued example in the PMG Population Report, it is a vibrant reminder of the currency that circulated during the Qajar dynasty (1796-1925). It has an estimate of $60,000 and up.

  • a Commonwealth of Australia ND (1918) 50 Pounds graded PMG 25 Very Fine (lot 28007), with an estimate of $15,000 and up

  • a European Union / Ireland 2002 500 Euro graded PMG 67 Superb Gem Unc EPQ (lot 28202) with an estimate of $3,500 and up.
