CGC Trading Cards-certified Dragon Ball Super’s Video Game Counterpart

Based on one of the most popular animes of all time, Dragon Ball Super is one of the best-known card games to be certified by CGC Trading Cards™. There are countless ways to enjoy the Dragon Ball Super Card Game, from collecting Son Goku, The Awakened Power, or even opening a booster box of Saiyan Showdown. Dragon Ball Super builds on its success with the video game Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Released in 2018, Dragon Ball FighterZ is the symbol of greatness for Dragon Ball video games. Like all Saiyans, FighterZ shows how a game can drastically improve over time. The gameplay takes the fighting genre and perfectly incorporates Dragon Ball into the modern competitive scene. Like a wish come true, this game has the complete package of beautiful art, amazing visuals, smooth animation, fun gameplay, satisfying fight tempo and a nostalgic appeal to any Dragon Ball fan. It's as if a Dragon Ball fan found all seven Dragon Balls, and instead of wishing for wealth or prosperity, they had wished for a nearly perfect Dragon Ball game.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is an improvement on the 150 previously created Dragon Ball games that paved the way for a peak-performing game title for the series. These games spanned across nearly every available game console and were enjoyed worldwide by Dragon Ball enthusiasts. But they fell short of making their mark on the competitive gaming scene — until Dragon Ball FighterZ. Dragon Ball FighterZ made a splash in the competitive fight scene with continuing appearances in EVO and inseparable with fighting tournaments. 

Dragon Ball is ahead of the game with the recent addition of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and the Breakers. It’s not farfetched to say that Dragon Ball FighterZ isn’t in its final form for Dragon Ball video games. The upcoming Season 2 of Dragon Ball Super comes with new enemies and new character progressions and could continue the spotlight for future titles. Dragon Ball fans and fighting game enthusiasts have more new game titles or more DLCs to look forward to. They need to raise their hands and send their energy to Goku and the Dragon Ball developers for more great titles.
